Returning to a discussion about ELD and buttressing comments in the 'AFR' and by kingkev above,as rain continues in a band across some of the NSW Riverina, interesting that the granary location of West Wyalong (with its marvellous historic higgeldy-piggeldy main street, worth a visit) has enjoyed more than 113 millimetres in the first half of January 2024, compared to 54.2mm for the whole of January 2023.

It's a quick sample size of one so insufficient to draw conclusions, but there at least, so far no sign of a baking dry parched summer.

I'd like to call some graingrowers and graziers to obtain a better idea but from an ill-informed city base it's possible this will be giving rural communities along a fair bit of the lower east coast some confidence.

The trading this morning a bit above A$8.00 may in part be an ASX response to perceived reasonable to good seasonal conditions.
