. Li-ion anode in batteries make up hasn’t changed that much since the 1970s. Predominantly graphite anode, sometimes doped with silicon or even lithium metal.
It’s so hard to scale new production methods for even for Li-ion, Read about the troubles Freyr is having with 24m. Let alone a whole new invention. Some of the papers on solid state are just not scalable. Referring to nano wafers, postage stamp thickness tested with coin cells. How on earth will that will be able to be produced on mass, like Catl, putting out a battery cell/second, and at what cost $ and need? Li-ion range is just fine for most applications. I personally find a lot of the ss talk is just not feasible even though the lab results in coin cells look good. Perhaps specialty, niche purposes such as aircraft or space, but not mass produced vehicles or BESS.
