It seems there are a lot of selfish, greedy b$stards on this forum.
dm_brien posted something that was self evidently true.
As an fyi, 80% of my NEU holdings are via an SMSF but I 100% agree super tax breaks need to be removed.
The main reason ppl invest in super is because of overly favourable tax breaks. The idea that removing those tax breaks is "entitlement culture" is simply greedy.
Eventually when daybue and 2591 are approved for use in patients in Australia, those medicines will be made available to suffers via the PBS.
Who funds the PBS? Taxpayers.
Sure there's wasteful Govt spending, but essential services such as health and education, NDIS, disability/age pensions still need to be funded.
As for "hard working Aussies" the idea that wealth is gained by hard work is also provably false. And we've all had a certain amount of luck to end up investing in NEU.
If you are making millions from investments, you should be prepared to pay more tax.
