Lets cut the crap ... Dale is very clever/astute, have no fear or doubt.
Whilst he may have generally done a great job can you imagine how much smarter and visionary he would be looking now if he had of been able to lock in a long term fixed price agreement for most of PLS shipments based on peak pricing from last year instead of taking spot prices for the next few years and the risks that come with it.
The market reacted accordingly yesterday as the PLS SP would have bucked the trend if this was an amazing deal. The best part is that in an over supplied market that PLS will still have a guaranteed large customer even if the spot price isn't so great at the moment. It's an OK agreement.
