Thanks jnene I'm not the best researcher but I've done enough to convince myself that this company is onto a good thing and it's worth a punt with a bit of my hard earned. I was aware of the water leases being granted by Wayne County but hadn't been able to find specific amounts of projected water usage. I did just locate the following article titled Will Green River be home to a new lithium mine to help U.S. go ‘green’? written by Amy Joi O'Donoghue saying the following. The paradox lithium project secured leases from an agricultural user via the Wayne County Water Conservancy District. The total lease for water from the Colorado River is 12,500 acre-feet, but the total consumptive use is 2,500 acre-feet, Richardson said. An acre-foot is enough water to cover a football field by a depth of 12 inches. I'm aware that people here would be aware of this stuff I'm just putting it in for continuation of my discussion. I'm sure the total consumptive use is probably published in company released documents somewhere but I missed it I guess. Also regarding this article I think Landon Newell's comments are quite reasonable, that being that caution should be exercised and the community should be able to weight in. In the US I'm sure both these things will and are happening. Some of the points raised about Anson operating under different names and it being confusing is interesting. I'm sure it's just how companies operate but maybe a good PR campaign could be useful in the community in 2024 as we get set to go into production and bring jobs to the region.
