I've got a commerce degree, 20 years as a CA, sub major in law and an ABN. I think I am relatively successful and how a very strong background in advising and running small business. It is getting harder and harder and the hours are longer and longer.
I care about my clients, therefore the hours I work and have laid off the extra charging because most are doing it tough (even though they are good operators). Probably my fault, but so what I choose to do it.
They blame no one and just get on with the job. Easy to say mismanagement, when it is only good management which saw them through.
Mining tax does nothing for them, CGT discount does nothing, Greens removing small business concessions will kill the value of their only substantial asset (the business is often their superannuation).
