You've left out a couple of other demands Putin made. Putin demanded Ukraine give up Crimea and eastern Ukraine. Was never going to happen.

Putin wanted a Ukrainian surrender, he didn't get it.

What he got instead was almost 400k Russian troops gone, and still hundereds of thousands more wasted Russian troops to come, his military has been massively degraded, his Balck Sea fleet has been humiliated and Ukraine is exporting as much grain by sea as the were before, Putin's economy is getting worse, spending way up, revenue way down, inflation up, sanctions biting, infrastructure crumbling and all of that to lose 54% of the land he occupied at the time he demanded surrender.



Even before he invaded Putin was making unrealistic demands and never intended to "negotiate" in good faith.
