I can't see any good news here.

The standard patent is still under opposition and it will presumably be settled at a hearing. I just rang the IP office and at least the patent is still alive and all evidence has been submitted.

The fact that they have filed an innovation patent makes me wonder if they are worried that the dispute will be upheld so they need to have something. I doubt Tincom would move ahead until this is resolved but you never know, maybe they just want the cheap coal and aren't worried about the IP.

If we are left holding only an innovation patent then that gives only 8 years protection, can't be enforced until it is examined and can't really be enforced in any export markets.

Either way, I suspect the next pump and dump is not far away so I hold again.
