If so...I don't think the Global spread of issues of widening gaps, poverty, inequality, good Government services etc etc is directly connected to issues of 'democracy' at all....all that stuff is due to the naive and stupid embrace of all the short termism of 'Economic Rationalism'...the Australian term for 'Neoliberalism'.
Yes the tiller was initially handed to those Zealots beginning in 1983 in Australia (the start of our downfall on so many fronts and which has only accelerated since) with the deregulation of our financial markets and the short termist, self serving and interested Zealots, Globalists and Champions/Leaders of Industry and the Mug voters who've kept successive Governments here in power since (usually thanks to hip pocket nerve catering) in bribes by way of stuff like tax cuts, middle class welfare etc etc and who've now completely taken over just about everything including 'culturally'. Akin to putting the foxes in charge of the hens pen. What did everyone expect would happen ?? Deregulate, self regulate, no regulation, free for all, let the 'Market' decide, privatise, outsource, smash the Unions etc etc. Look at the multiples of CEO's earnings now compared to the average punter/worker as a multiple and say 30 or 40 years ago before Maggie and Ronnie convinced the rest of we Mugs it was the way to go....etc....it's an obscenity. Despite the damage, destruction and utter chaos of embracing the business models taught us by all those 'Business School' whiz kids with their MBA's.
It's been an utter failure and the place is littered with destruction and corpses yet still they pursue and still the average voting Punter hasn't a clue apparently ?

I was more referring to issues of what I understand and are known in Serbia as 'Bots' working for various Government instrumentalities and may be asked/expected to act as 'Bots' and paint very positive pictures of Mr Vucic and his Party on various social media platforms ? Public servant Bot farms ? Included on their lists of duties ?
I expect you would know much more about such matters and maybe you can further illuminate me and/or correct me ?

Doesn't sound too promising with ideas of 'democracy' in mind if it's true ?
