Spot carbonate has already been flat for almost going on one month now.

Spot spod has been flat for 3-4 days now (and hopefully entering into a long term bottom as carbonate seems to be).

So there's always the possibility that lithium prices don't go any lower (doesn't mean they have to suddenly go higher either) - they can just track sideways for months.

At this price level SYA will have to suspend NAL (unless they're prohibited under the terms of their PLL agreement - I don't know these details), MIN and LTM might be suspending a few mines in WA as well. Also questionable whether LTR can commence in July (and make free cash flow).

Quarterlies due next week for most producers so I suspect there will be huge volatility on lithium stocks as investors digest the average realised prices and work out what the future is for the rest of 2024.
