We are looking at having kids and I would like my wife to stay home. We actually live quite modestly, don't buy all the gadgets, my car is 6 years old and the motgage well below what we could borrow Hell my microwave is 18 years old). Basically we are designed to live off one income, but at present we take that big trip every year, where caution is thrown to the wind (do it while we can attitude and to reward ourselves for the work).

I belive that family comes first. I came from a happy family not a rich one in dollar terms. However you could never measure the wealth in terms of love and in that way I feel extremely blessed. I suppose that is why I describe myself as Conservative, as I believe that the family is the traditional and strongest unit of society and should be defended at all cost.

Different people have different goals and wants, so each to their own. However I think you will find most of us are pretty similar, we just have different ideas on how we get there, which is healthy.
