Money of mine, really. While I don't mind them, they are just another source of information/forecasts similar to others who did not have visibility on unlisted projects in China domestic, Africa, etc, thus got it wrong.
I'm looking forward as that information is now available, inventories are low, early signs, small green shoots for spod over the past few weeks, at worst flatlining. Now, if I had a choice to source my forecasts from Money and mine or Benchmark Minerals Intel, I'm gonna stick with the later as I have for many years, they (BMI) have forecast a 30kt oversupply in 2024, but hey that was before CXO shut down, and others announcing delays in expansion, you get the picture.
China are expecting 800k EV unit sales this month, up 141% yoy, using 25kt LCE per 400k EV units, China will consume an additional 30kt relative to Jan 23 in 1 month, which begs the question, what could go wrong.
