As I see it, the problem is not just the slump in relevant mineral prices and short-sellers on the stock markets. A key additional ( and cumulative) factor is the robotic manipulation of the Chalice share price on those markets. By that I mean hundreds of tiny, minuscule really, trades and identical or nearly identical trading back and forth between the manipulators themselves. In the absence of regulatory intervention the manipulators have demonstrated that they can move share prices down (and up if they so choose) at will. I suspect that these trades are not documented but that at the end of the day the books are squared or ruled off and any net balance might then be documented and become retrievable evidence of probably little value for mounting a case of unacceptable behaviour before the Takeovers Panel. It might be a good idea for someone at Chalice or wherever to monitor and record the Course of Sales referred to above. That might well be useful hard primary evidence and form the basis for following the forensic trail to who did the squaring off at the end of each day, otherwise the originating evidence might be forever lost (assuming that there is any merit in my hypothesis which I fully acknowledge there might not be).
