on searching for a list of the Aus elite, the second item on my results was a view from the Spectator. the conservative factional rag.
elites are defined as a select group considered to be "superior to others because of their intelligence, social standing or wealth" (wiki).
this would include Gina Rinehart, Scott Morrison, and many others of the right wingtippers.
this doesn't mean that they dominate the elite however as the term also includes notable professors of academia, the intelligentsia, eg Brain Schmidt (Nobel Prize winner and chancellor of ANU), medical and health experts, industrialists such as Andrew Forrest, and, of course some left wing people.
so pls be careful with your wording bacci and remember the Spectator is not a repository of wisdom or correctness, but a suppository of political ambition.
