Start with your Global Markets Broker by sending "transfer of shares" request via their portal, They will send your their ACAT transfer Document, return with your DRS Advice and Chess. If you use a new broker, open account, bank account details, Tax and drivers license. You do not need to wait for your code, you have been issued a DRS Advice. Contact your broker and have a representative assigned to your transfer or use the same rep via email. Or Stay with Computershare US as your broker. Platform ok but hefty trading charges.
You asked for Cost Some brokers are free transfer in and out Some charge transfer out. Some Charge for DRS transfers. Approx $150USD. Westpac, IG and NAB do not charge in or out. Tiger Brokers do charge for DRS but no charge for FOP. Commsec and CMC do not do DRS transfers ATM
Trading cost. Tiger and IG by far the cheapest. Both have superior platforms. There are many more brokers, the above should get you started.
