Well found mate. $300m won't be enough unless we can keep the $220m grant or reduce the size of the expansion to 34kt. NVX had their grant reduced from $150m to $100m to build a 20kt plant at Riverside which has existing infrastructure and their pilot plant instead of a 30kt plant at a new greenfield site. Under the current rules, the loan can be up to 80% of the cost.
The US needs to do something radical. It's probably wishful thinking but I'm hoping they tweak the rules and allow the loan and grant on the same project.
That women senator from Alaska has had a bee in her bonnet about SYR for years. She weirdly seems to think Graphite One in Alaska is effected by SYR. She keeps rabbiting on about using the LPO for mining and it was never the case. Thankfully she is only 1 voice.
