As per Stoltenberg, Russia's invasion of Ukraine has nothing to do with "not towing the line". And has everything to do with Russia's fears of NATO expanding into Ukraine.
Same story with Georgia.

Only in Georgia, the leaders were smart enough to postpone their NATO ambitions.
Ukrainian government, encouraged by good ol Boris from UK (and other Western leaders) fell for their lies of infinite support as well as bad intel, decided NOT to carry through with the March/April 2022 Ukraine-Russia negotiations, and decided to fight on instead.
And look where Ukraine is now almost two years later. Hundreds of thousands dead or badly injured, millions fled, infrastructure being systematically destroyed, economy in ruins and totally dependent on US/EU handouts, even MORE territory lost. And no end in sight.
