Lamine Seydou Traore, the previous Minister of Mines & Energy, was arrested in Bamako yesterday on charges of “executing false contracts, embezzlement, illicit enrichment and money laundering" along with some corporate executives. This is related to contracts & dealings with the national energy company, according to media reports:
