you want to tax the rich tax the thibg they are more likely to buy ie expensive cars, holiday houses, holidays etc not income

you can earn 300k pa and be struggling in Sydney

It depends who you call 'young'.
I don't call people in their late 20's or early 30's young.
Not everyone is a tradie, far from it.

$200k is a high income by any measurement, the average wage is less than half that,
