OK...now for a 'hard' question...specific to Cape Lilac's and the nasty caterpillar that can 'strip' a tree in 2/3 nights...what is the best way to KILL these blighters?
Have tried sprinkling large amounts of tomatoe dust around base /centre and up all broughs, with limited success. Am watching the tree sprouting atm wondered if any one had a better solution? TIA
Also have a carpet off cut around tree to attract any caterpillars so I can collect during daytime to destroy.
Any thoughts/practices that others have tried successfully?
