We need tax for common shared infrastructure/services - however it is not fair that a smaller group has to pay the vast majority. Each of us uses the same amount of basic services no matter how much or how little we pay in tax. Fairness is having a tax free threshold then a flat tax rate for all after that - the more you earn the more you pay but you pay the same percentage. Even fairer would be to transition to a gst only tax for all with NO other taxes over a period of time.
