fail to be able to tell us how we will be able to afford to pay for the electricity to run the stove or drive the car to the shop to by the ingredients for our breakfast.
Not only is inflation making things more and more expensive thanks to 'so green and clean' policies, when one goes shopping one encounters bare shelves - even that humble breakfast menu may need to change or even be foregone with. And as for affordability - they want you to add even more issues by paying off an EV with the notion of 'cheap' fills??
Recall the 'down down' commercial of days gone by a supermarket - it seems taking along with it what was to be 'cheap' or 'cheaper' prices. But as for people, more and more are feeling down with the pain of the cost of everything going up and up - including the new not as 'cheap' green energy as advertised.
Some here do not seem to understand the true ownership cost of a shiny EV - they only focus on claims of how cheap home charging is whilst they're sleeping, foregoing all other costs. They're sleeping allright. Not everyone wants to have nightmares. Perhaps ignorance is bliss or simply they'd like you to join in to share their pain. Yes, sometimes it's best to ignore the noise. My ICE tank is full and ready for the next non stop 500km or so - it got filled yesterday avo in 5 minutes - didn't lose any sleep over it nor did I freeze waiting to plug in. From Sydney to Melbourne, the car would need only one 5min fill up stop. Better than any 'new' alternative but it's a matter of perspective - others have a different one.
So, again, how can anyone object if one wants an EV and experience all it's merits or otherwise including deep restful sleeps or even sleepless nights wondering whether the car will sufficiently charge for the duration of the next trip.
There are plenty of EV's for sale, plenty of eager sales people and plenty of willing buyers. Personally, I sleep better more restfully without one. Horses for courses. For some - cables instead of stables and some perhaps have a money tree bearing sizeable notes - if the latter is so, can I please have some seeds for future breakfast provisions? AIMO
