Putins attack seems to have had the reverse effect, if as you say it's all about NATO which I disagree with. Ukraine still had too many hurdles to leap before it could be considered but last time I looked NATO had taken some of those hurdles away, and not only that but galvanised other formally neutral countries on Russias border to join!
