Oh forgot to add ESP that in the case of BHP and RIO that's not mum and dads buying on the open its the smart money selling on the open. They sell into the open's and buy on the closes. If you see high volume at any time it's the smart money either selling or buying, look at any chart and you will see clearly high volume at the bottom or the top of a run. A high volume open that doesn't sustain the price ie drops back is to be viewed as selling. It is them either buying from the weak holders or selling to the weak holders. It's how they play the game.

Just how it is i'm afraid but if you can understand it you're much better armed I say.
