Gillard was ruthlessly punished for it.
Abbott was ruthlessly punished for it.

Now this liar is going to have his arse handed to him come the next election, if not sooner if his colleagues roll him.

I think you'll find people are very forgiving of 'broken promises' that actually make them better off.
Considering the vast majority of taxpayers will be better off under the Labor 'adjustments' I don't think the PM has much to worry about.
