I have not heard that in the media, must have missed it. Perhaps because it does not help the case for it.

We already have a telephone system, and we do not need 100MB/s for it.

The case for broadband was always speed, that is why wireless was dismissed as it was not fast enough for some ATM. Although technology it improving rapidly in this area.
