I wasn't talking about the weather effecting wireless. I meant when the ISPs went down in the bad weather more people used the wireless network and it crawls to a halt!
Wireless broadband is not a feasible solution as the primary service for large populations.
And your point about Optus is moot - it costs 25% more and is not even available anywhere in Tasmania, and even on the mainland only in the main cities...
