First I would like to point out that in a recent interview with Russell Dellroy he made claims that explorers should not go on to be producers and referred to CVN as being one of those.
Well he's totally wrong we are not a producer in fact we buy or sell part into companies that are producers and always have, that is one of the reasons I've always questioned why we need so many directors when it is not us making the decisions and if he is so big on the costs to investors that should be looked at instead.
Dorado is an important development in Australia’s energy landscape, estimated to hold about 162 million barrels of light oil and condensate, on a gross 2C basis.Combined with the estimated gross 748 billion cubic feet of 2C contingent gas resource, Dorado has been assessed to hold a gross 2C contingent resource of 344 million barrels of oil equivalent.
Now if you only take $ 40.00 a barrel and said the rest was the cost of the project it gives you $ 13,760,000,000 and lets not forget we are not including other parts or wells not drilled yet.
I for one bought into CVN because of the real potential for this to go much higher than what Russel is looking for and it was said we would be debt free in the first year of production.
Have a real look at what was said in this interview and the map showing areas that have been discovered around the Carnarvon basin and the potential targets we have to drill it could be much the same.
