Great to see someone make the effort to transcribe their experience and opinions on how the mkt functions esp in regard to small caps and gold/mining stks when still in exploration stage. To be clear... i bought (as posted) at 52.5c. I sold my last parcel at $2.40. However, along the way i traded in and out 4x... just as guild describes. On 2 occasions i gained, and twice the i lost. What i lack is the sheer discipline holders such as guild, minemajor and some others have. As detailed elsewhere... my near-death mkt experience in late 2008 still haunts me. Financially i have fully recovered... but I remain weary. For instance i can't bring myself to believe gold is failsafe. I read widely and look for undervalued stks. But doubt i'll ever have the certainty many HC posters seem to have that gold will hit $2,000. i ALWAYS keep a few goldies in portfolio, but it's only 20% of the total.
