The “Minister of Energy” for Saskatchewan (population 1.2 million) is a career small-town politician who was elected to the provincial assembly with somewhat more than 7,000 votes from his constituency. He used to be Minister of Health. But it’s logical for him to visit proposed lithium drill sites. Lithium produces no energy but it takes a lot to get it out of the ground, especially in the form of brine that needs to be heated.
How many other DLE miners are within a day’s horseback ride of Prairie? At least four. And they can all raise capital in Canada. They don’t have to rely on Hong Kong mutual funds. If lithium ever gets back above $20,000 a ton, they will all try to start producing enough to increase the supply. As will the lithium-rich DLE projects in Arkansas, Texas and California.
Tell me again why Prairie, at $80 million, was ten times better than Grounded at $8 million.
