did you say you've been in Aus for 15 years? or 15 months? certainly big business controls a lot of Aus federal politics, particularly with legislation.
remember the Mining resources rent tax under Rudd/Gillard? such powerful companies were allowed to write the terms of the legislation without the PM, Treasury or Trade allowed to interfere.
