in case you wonder I don’t agree with communism - in its Marxist form or the original Chinese form or in the way it played out in Russia post revolution.
in both those cases what happened was a revolution that moved directly from one form of feudal power to another type of dominating totalitarian power. They didn’t actually know how to run any type of communal approach to anything without the overlay of power. Lenin was very clear that to impose ideals required violence and so was Mao
however I also don’t believe in a monarchy that has power to please themselves. Or in capitalism which, simply because humans can’t seem to help themselves, is simply a different manifestation of feudal power
the problem lies not with any particular system of government but with humans themselves. While there is much good there are also people who don’t operate on the same basis and believe that what matters is what is good for them.
societies cannot survive and be functional when they operate that way. When you are prepared to abandon the needs of the population in general and believe that somehow the population will look after the community you get dysfunction. And the more you keep pushing that system the more dysfunction you get
do you really think it is right to have a small number of people who hold more wealth than the great percentage of the rest of us. For countries to hog wealth. For anyone to hold others to ransom.
you can only have functional capitalism if the social values by which you operate are not based on power distance, individualism and game playing to win
