Don't want to keep arguing about this but I work in both thermal and renewables. Engineers know it is a utopia pipe dream to reach the targets in the given timeframe. My concern is gap leakers will be politically used to say "we closed the coal plants" at significant costs.
And don't forget the impact of electric vehicles. A typical EV , driven 40 km a day will use 3 times as mush energy as a typical house. How do I know this, or am I shootings from the hip again, or perhaps I own one.
