Zelinsky's policy of "cooperation" with NATO/EC was part of his Party's 2019 election platform:


"In the election program for the 2019 parliamentary election, the party stated, "we will introduce the most favored regime for foreign investorsUkrainian origin" [69) It also promised to introduce "a mechanism for withdrawing deputies who have lost the confidence of the voters". Of course Zelinsky won on the basis of his Party's policies one of which was " to expandUkraine's cooperation with the European Union and NATO."

For simple minds, I guess the "Putin Land Grab " is is more appealing than the intention
of the Ukraine to move from "neutral" to pro NATO/EC as the cause of the war.
