In my opinion averaging down is a fast way to a bad ending. And yes my portfolio is way over 6 figures. But I don't use it to try and paper over poor decisions. I take a loss and bleed for a while. Thats what liquidity is all about.

Personally, if you ever get to a point where 70% of your free capital is in the market then you've made big errors somewhere.
