You have rocks in your head if you think Iran backs ISIS. ISIS are a Saudi funded Sunni extremist jihadist group of nut cases.
Saudis are fighting Houthis that are backed by Iran, The Houthi rebels, also known as Ansar Allah, are the Zaidi sect of Shia Islam. Houthis are backed by Iran who are also Shia.
I'd say that most likely it was an Iran backed Shia militant group that attacked the US base in support of the Houthis who were recently attacked by US. The US will likely attack Iran and if that happens I hope you bought into pretty cheap ASX oil and gas stocks

I didn't say those militants who attack the US soldiers were ISIS, I said the US were there at the request of Jordan and have been there for quite a while as that was the logistic channel ISIS previously used.
