There is an awful lot of work to do before any mine starts operating, and it will require a huge amount of time and money, the sooner they concentrate on that the better A fairly good example of over exploring a project was Lihir; initially owned by Kennecot and Niugini Mining After the first years drilling (1983) they had already confirmed the monster but the Geo's continued exploration for a further four years, they did not let the Engineers loose on it until 1987 and by 1988 Rio took it off their hands !!!!! RTZ then had to spend another 4 years re-engineering the Project. ( admittedly it was far more complex than Caldera will ever be. But I fully expect engineering will take at least 2-4 years ).
