Explanation of Opinion

Someone from this forum emailed me recently asking why I hold the opinions I do regarding Droneshield. As the person in question seemed to find my opinion interesting, I thought I'd share some of what I said. It goes without saying I'm sure, but this is not advice.

I don't worry about charts or the whimsical day to day fluctuations in stock price, only the fundamentals. This is a deeptech investment, and I’m treating it as a venture capital firm would. As Australia’s largest VC firm is fond of saying, the companies that go really big are the ones that aren’t run for sale. Droneshield's tech is not the sort of thing someone can just turn around and replicate; they’re a decade old, and a decade ahead of the competition (just look at the people they’re hiring). As absurd as it may sound I’m not hoping for a 300% ROI, but 300,000%. I’m all in on this. I think their products will become ubiquitous features of airports, malls, schools, government buildings and military bases.
