I completely agree with what you said about giving the Chinese too much control. To be honest I've been a little bit suspicious about their involvement from the beginning. Mostly due to the growing list of ASX companies in Africa getting out maneuvered by the Chinese and not ending up in a good place. When the Chinese like what they see in Africa they usually get it. I know these hostilities with the Chinese have occurred in less stable jurisdictions than Angola so it would be harder to suffer the same fate as the rest. Nevertheless, not going through with the $25m from them has been a massive relief for me. I could not envisage a $25m loan from the Chinese being in our best interest and without caveats.
Also, I mentioned the binding offtake with Carrinho yesterday and Chuk said it was binding on the condition of successful field trials... whatever that means
