The issue currently for all developers and wanna be developers is finance.
Yes a pre payment to lock in the off take is great, but we will almost certainly need to put in an equal amount (or decent amount) into the capex. This will exclude normal working capital / exploration costs etc. That would require taping the market.
The market is not looking favourably on financing lithium companies currently.
I have a feeling 2024 is not going to be great the first half.
You recall I mentioned that LRS was levitating a couple of weeks back. The next concern is PLS. It also still has this characteristic looking at my valuations, and when it drops heavily the market in Aus has a tendency to follow.
I would like to be wrong, but the 2019 / 2020 downturn lasted far longer than anyone expected.
