I agree with everything you say until the end. the following is also JMO but lots of research has gone into it.
Lynas is a great investment Yes it was and it may be again. But that is a few years out. Look wht is happening in Lithium ion battery space. Same might happen to Lynas there size in market was big but now it is less than 10% It would only take a few well financed competitors to put then in forth or 4th place. With todays REE prices financing is very hard but you never know I am not saying Lynas future is not good. Just that a turn around is too far away to invest in.
the world needs Lynas right now the world need REE that demand can change as it certainly has in lst few years. There might be other supliers. I will invest on the next year and If I am correct Lynas will go down in that time. the west needs Lynas Is not the West part of world saying something different ways does not make it more true demand will quickly pick up the over supply. Maybe but not at all a certainty.
the west (Japan and USA etc) will never allow Lynas to sink - it's like a government secured bond Just think for a moment about what you are saying. Are you not admitting that Lynas is not self suporting including growth that it will take continuous aid to keep them alive. Investors want profits from the company not government handouts. Handouts always end then the company has to justify its SP on its own. just think for a moment what you and many other on this board are saying about Lynas when you use this as a buy point. Look at MP/s they with drew there request for aid When they saw the complications with it. In the 2019 plan Lynas had Texas scheduled for completion in Late 2022. Now it might start in a few months. Lynas's groveling for government money has cost at least 4 years probally more to the schedule all that time they could have been making money. Yes they will recieve a few USD 100Ms but that is not short term profits. It reduces CAP X the money is spread out over 20 years or more so not a big boost to profits.
