WW, This is from memory but I seem to remember that IMU was not the only interested party in acquiring Azer-cel. IMU snatched it away from some mother interested parties. I don’t recall the question being asked as to why did Precision choose IMU over other interested parties, but at the time I thought it was fro two reasons. One being IMU’s incredible ability to progress trials and secondly that the agreement/negotiations would lead Azer-Cel into the Oncarlytics program. I think the Oncarlytics program will take Azer-Cel to far greater heights than it could achieve on its own merits. And the IMU presentation showing Oncarlytics will be trialled with Azer-Cel confirms my belief.

Unfortunately we don’t get to see the full scale of the agreement signed between IMUGENE and Precision. There it’s a good possibility that the Companies that were unsuccessful with Precision are still talking to IMUGENE about taking Azer-Cel to market.

What we also don’t know is what input Monil Shah has with the agreements and scientific strategies. With hi constant engagement with Big Pharma and other Biotechs, he old certainly have feedback which influences the direction takes its scientific and corporate moves.

BP would definitely be communicating their needs. And as a side note it’s good to hear overnight that MERCK are out hunting for acquisitions and collaborations valued between $1bn and $15bn to grow their future revenue streams to replace Keytruda. I believe this year would be the perfect time for IMU to land a great deal which will help take out drugs to market quickly and reward shareholders well.
