not sure about the West Coast but over here on the East renewables are booming with capacity being built everywhere - battery, pumped hydro also. Eventually the renewable grid will become so big that reliabllity will follow. It's going to take time but as energy investors, l would advise we all keep our eye on it.
EV sales are really starting to get traction in Sydney. People are plugging their EV's into their home at night and using the battery to supply electricity which is pretty nifty.
Love them or hate them renewables are simple and cheap technolgy compared to exploring for O&G. That's not an opinion, it's a fact.
