Yes, most of my trading is against BOTS. They are incredibly stupid Python Algorithms, having said that, they are exactly that, programable intuitive along with now "AI" orientated block trades to a wrath of news, financial reports and so on and so forth.
Its manipulated of course which makes it a lot easier to identify trends.
The ASX allows it to happen because it makes the ASX a lot of money.
You will never be able to fight against it, its a fact of life for us retail traders. Its war !!!
When you look at the screen shot, HFT talks to other HFT and BOTS talk to other BOTS within indicatives.
Indicatives are now similar to Zero day Options in the sense that they quantify what they are going to buy at and sell at.
When you see multiples of blocks for sale & for buy always within indicatives, you can go long, which is a day trade, or go short, so buy multiples before the end of the day like at say 3:56pm or thereabouts or even a longer duration and then sell at the close of indicative at 4:10pm.
They also talk to ach other about what to buy and what to sell during the course of the day by average blocks of buys & sells.
So look at 8.43 & 7.79 in the closing indicative.
Of course this puts a lot of pressure on retailers finance is not infinite like some hedge funds.....notice i said "hedge"....
Becareful with your money going forward...its going to turn & its going to be ugly...which is great when you start trading Volatility.
Its being geared to that, its a cycle that is prefabricated.
In 44 years of trading, i have never seen it this bad...it is hard to make money in the markets these days even though i make money 9 out of 10 trades that i do.
Its extremely hard...i dont hold any stock over the weekend, not these days. Equities world wide are so over valued its at a breaking point which always ends in tears.
AGL is defensive.
Thats why i am of the opinion it is over sold for variable reasons.
I know this is a long winded way of explaining what i see, but its the best i can do as MATHEMATICS is what makes sense to me within the equities world.
All the best with your holdings.
