From last week's construction update:
"The optimised design review for Stage 2 has been completed. Stage 2 covers all aboveground works for the disciplines mentioned above for the process plant and all servicessuch as fuel, water, maintenance, laboratory, offices etc with a 3D site model expectedimminently."
Imminently was about right. The 3D site model is on X (Twitter). It sure does look simple enough. Hopefully that helps avoid any further delays in the construction timeline. Looking at the simplicity of it, it is easy to believe the following statement from the same update last week regarding a reduction in construction times and cost;
"Led by Chief Operating Officer Mr. Steve Abbott and Group Project Manager Mr. MarcoGomes, a design optimisation and process review has been completed on the CabindaPhosphate Project, resulting in a material reduction in construction times and cost."
"The optimised design works including a revised layout has been completed (fig. 1) andincludes earthworks, drainage and reinforced concrete foundations. The Company isnow engaged in an active tender process to complete all stage 1 civil works, with apreferred bidder and contract expected to be awarded shortly."
You would expect that they would select a contractor that will be ready to start earthworks soon and then construction as soon as the IDC loan is settled.
I don't know if the company is planning on waiting on the IDC loan to start plant and building construction work but I would think that they should have enough cash to get the earth moving done while waiting on the IDC loan or any one of the other options they have been working on for the remaining US$12mill..![]()
