Mate you are not listening to what they are saying and you are not reading what they have written.

The previous naysayers all know we need gas and lots of it.

When in opposition they can and do say whatever they like to sound good and attract the voters they need.

Now they are the big boys, the decision makers, the responsible ones, they can no longer say whatever.

What they are saying is

"Yes, Yes, we know what we said before. However, the law and due process requires the decision to be done by the book and according to law.
Its not appropriate I comment as the application is at JA and I dont wish to be seen as trying to influence the decision.

The process is out of our hands, we are compelled to follow the law and if the permit meets all the criteria then it must be approved. That is the law and these are the rules. It maybe not what I wanted, but thats the law. WE are a law abding society and adherence is critical for confidence in the system and democracy in gerneral"
