Sadly, many women there are still murdered in various ways for bring shame to the family - common amongst the peasant classes. In the West men of all classes murder their wives because of jealousy. Both absolutely unacceptable, but on a per-capita basis I'd bet that we Westerners kill more of our women than the Islamic States.
