I think they have done a reasonable job of flagging potential turning points both near the highs and lows. Not perfect but a useful guide at times for those trading. However, I only posted those charts today to show the historic sp moves, not for predictive purposes.
I agree with most of what you said in the rest of your post and I think the sp is currently balancing the disappointments of previous delays versus the promise of what lies just ahead. I like what is most likely to come.
Judging by the relatively low volumes, most of us appear to be waiting.
