Do you know something, you are so misinformed that it is laughable.

We live in a house that is 40 years old, yes it has 4 bedrooms, but small.
We needed the extra rooms for family.
It is very modest, it still has the original kitchen and bathroom, but we have painted the wooden cabinets and I am quite happy with it. I think it's about 250sqm.

Our car is 15 years old, we bought it secondhand as it was dual fuel. Gas and petrol, but not many places sell the gas now.
Most of our furniture, we brought with us from England. Family pieces, I hate modern crap Ikea type furniture.
We are not interested in status symbols or social climbing.

Now to the tiny house movement. As there are so many people who cannot afford high rents or have the money to purchase.
There is a growing trend where you either adapt eg a small donga or if you have the skills you can actually build your own.
But the thing is, that there is a maximum size, it must be towable like a caravan. Some are really lovely.
So atm there are a few shires who will turn a blind eye, there are a few others who allow them. But on the whole, just like tents and caravans, they have to be moved after 28 days.Most have solar etc and are quite self sufficient.

Many people have been lucky enough to find a farmer who will let them stay as long as they wish, if they can. Some give them an area to grow vegetables and keep chooks. They are charged about $100-$200 a week for the site.
I am all for this, we no longer have our farm, so it is not for my benefit. My interest is to try to find out which shires can be persuaded to go with this, so I can help people.

So apart from harping on about negative gearing and CGT, what are you personally doing to improve anything.
You are either just plain jealous or a communist. Lets here something positive that makes sense.
People like me look for solutions not just whinge.
