I remember when I said at one stage that climate warriors were saying five years ago that gas was not a transition fuel you somehow conflated that to something else that was being said fifteen years ago.)

No I didn't conflate anything, I'm still stunned you didn't understand my point on that matter. It's made me question my communication style.

Yeah, without getting into a lesson on the application or non-application of FTs, they are utilised for design and analysis of electronic circuitry. So, not just pure mathematical constructs for the sake of it; they have real-world applications in electronics engineering. The utility of FTs in circuit design comes from their ability to simplify functions, not from any electromagnetic measurements. In fact, the FT representation of signals in a circuit when used for analysis doesn't actually exist in any physical sense.

Case in point relating to dubious modelling, I visited The Maldives in the 1990s.

In 2021, 90% of islands in the Maldives had experienced severe erosion, 97% of the country no longer had fresh groundwater, and more than 50% of the national budget was being spent on efforts to adapt to the effects of climate change.

The Maldives are lucky - they are a major tourist attraction so they have the money to build sea-walls and adapt.

Ignoring the huge engineering efforts to keep the Maldives viable in order to hold a belief that nothing is happened truly is beneath you.

All the Maldives and all the other low lying islands around the equatorial ring needs is a healthy coral reefs ecosystem to maintain and grow their land mass.

Of course if they’ve got plenty of cash they can turbocharge the gains in land mass by engineering means.
